LOS ANGELES -- California's Judicial Council has signed an order establishing a coordinated docket for asbestos cases pending in Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties. LAOSD Asbestos Cases, Judicial Council Coordination Proceeding No. 4674 (Calif. Jud. Council).
In an Aug. 30 order, the Chief Justice of California and Chair of the Judicial Council assigned the presiding judge of the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County to the coordinated proceedings. In a follow-up order issued Aug. 31, the presiding judge assigned the coordinated docket to Judge Emilie H. Elias.
