PHILADELPHIA - Several suppliers of asbestos-containing components used in Chrysler automobile brake systems have been awarded summary judgment after a lung cancer plaintiff failed to provide sufficient evidence of exposure to any specific defendant's product. Curtis v. Pneumo Abex Corp., et al., No. 10-2863 (E.D. Pa.).
Judge Eduardo C. Robreno granted the defendants' motions Aug. 9, determining that it is simply impossible for a jury to ascertain which product was responsible for causing plaintiff William Curtis' injury and how frequently Curtis was exposed to each.
