Asbestos MDL Court Refuses to Compel Deposition Testimony of Defendants

PHILADELPHIA –– The court overseeing the federal asbestos products liability MDL has denied a plaintiff motion to compel the testimony of several defendants, finding that the plaintiff had filed the motion to compel before adequately addressing the defense objections. Doucet v. Asbestos Corp., Ltd., No. 11-67223 (E.D. Pa.).

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania further said on June 14 that the plaintiff had not established product identification with regards to several of the defendants.
