Asymptomatic Asbestotic Awarded $160,000 by Texas Jury

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - A Texas jury has awarded nearly $160,000 to a man diagnosed with mild asbestosis following years of exposure to asbestos-containing brake products manufactured by the Borg-Warner Corp. Flores v. Armstrong World Industries, No. 98-49546 (Texas Dist. Court, Nueces Cty.).
The Nueces County District Court jury returned its verdict in favor of plaintiff Arturo Flores on June 14, finding Borg-Warner responsible for Flores' injuries.
