$20 Million Awarded to Mesothelioma Victims in New York;
Defendants in Each Case Found 100 Percent Liable

NEW YORK - Two men diagnosed with mesothelioma after their alleged exposure to asbestos have been awarded nearly $20 million in a New York state court. Matteson v. ACandS, et al., No. 1052402001 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).
The New York County Supreme Court jury handed up its verdict May 30, finding asbestos-products manufacturers Okonite Company and John Crane Inc. responsible for exposing John Matteson and John Lustenring to products that caused their malignancies.
