N.Y. Jurors Award $22 Million in Asbestos-Containing Gasket Case




NEW YORK -- Jurors in New York have awarded $22 million at the end of an asbestos trial of two former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company employees, according to published reports. McCarthy, et al., v. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., et al., No. n/a (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).

The New York Supreme Court, New York County, jury reached the verdict on June 21 after a five-week trial presided over by Judge Martin Shulman, sources said.
