S.C. Jury Finds for CertainTeed in Case Involving Corrugated Cement Siding

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- A South Carolina jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of CertainTeed Corp., rejecting the plaintiffs' claims that the decedent was exposed to asbestos in the defendant's corrugated cement siding. Wagers, et al., v. Bowater Inc., et al., C/A No. 2008-CP-23-1082 (S.C. Ct. Comm. Pls., Greenville Cty.).
In the May 27 verdict, the South Carolina Court of Common Pleas for Greenville County jury instead accepted CertainTeed's contention that it never manufactured the corrugated cement siding.
