Article: "Black Spots of the Parietal Pleura: Morphology and Formal Pathogenesis"
Summary: The authors describe the morphology of so-called black spots to understand their pathologies and potential starting points for malignant mesothelioma. The results of X-ray analysis of 12 black spots located in the pleura revealed that they are characterized by a mild fibrosis and are an inflammatory reaction to an incorporated foreign particle such as asbestos.
