N.J. Supreme Court Denies Petition to Certify Appeal of Take-Home Exposure Dispute

TRENTON, N.J. -- The New Jersey Supreme Court has declined the opportunity to review an appellate decision that affirmed a $7.5 million verdict for a plaintiff who claimed that she was exposed to asbestos while laundering her husband's work clothing. Anderson, et al. v. A.J. Friedman Supply Co., et al., No. C-422 Sept. Term 2010 066898 (N.J. Sup. Ct.).

In the one-page April 5 order, the high court denied ExxonMobil's petition for certification. The defendant had asked the Supreme Court to review an intermediate appeals court decision that the plaintiff's exposure was a "foreseeable risk."
