Del. Court Stays Insurance Coverage Dispute, Cites Similar Pending Pa. Lawsuits

WILMINGTON, Del. -- A Delaware superior court has stayed a declaratory action, finding that the insurance dispute involved similar claims and parties to two pending actions in Pennsylvania. Mine Safety Appliances Co., v. AIU Insurance Co., et al., No. N10C-07-241 (Del. Super. Ct., New Castle Cty.).

On Feb. 23, the Delaware Superior Court for New Castle County denied Mine Safety Appliances Co.'s motion for an order certifying an interlocutory appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court, ruling that its stay order did not terminate or substantially reduce further litigation.
