Texas Jury Awards $9 Million in Case Involving Dow Chemical




DALLAS -- A Texas jury has awarded $9 million to a former contract worker who worked at the facility of the lone remaining defendant for 10 months, sources told HarrisMartin. Henderson v. Dow Chemical, No. 10-07003 (Texas 160th Jud. Dist. Ct., Dallas Cty.).

The Texas 160th Judicial District Court for Dallas County jury reached the verdict on March 16 after a trial presided over by Judge Jim Jordan. The jury awarded $5 million for Henderson's pain and suffering, $4 million for wrongful death and allocated 30 percent liability to remaining defendant Dow Chemical.
