Philadelphia Jury Returns Defense Verdict in Pleural Thickening Case

PHILADELPHIA - A jury in Pennsylvania has found for the defense in a case brought against several defendants by a man who claimed he suffered from pleural disease as a result of his exposure to asbestos. Ross v. Asbestos Corp., Ltd., No. n/a (Pa. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).
The Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas jury awarded the verdict to mining companies Asbestos Corp. Ltd. and Bell Asbestos Mines Ltd. in the damages phase of the reverse bifurcated trial.
