DETROIT -- An asbestos defendant has taken issue with the case management proceedings of the asbestos docket in Wayne County, Mich., saying that a trial that ended in a defense verdict against the company was "grossly unfair and improper." Avram v. McMaster-Carr Supply Co., No. 296605 (Mich. Ct. App.).
According to the Michigan's Court of Appeals online docket, the appeal was filed in February of this year, but the defendant did not file its brief until Aug. 20. On Sept. 29, the court issued an order allowing the plaintiffs until Nov. 19 to file their brief.
