W.Va. Jury Enters Liability Verdict in Favor of Plaintiff; Parties Later Settle




CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The parties remaining in a West Virginia asbestos case have reached a confidential settlement shortly after a jury entered a liability verdict against John Crane Inc., sources told HarrisMartin. Wood, et al. v. John Crane Inc., et al., No. 10-C-91 (W.Va. 1st Jud. Cir. Ct.).

The West Virginia 1st Judicial Circuit Court jury reached a liability verdict on Nov. 3, sources said. The parties then reached a confidential settlement based on an earlier agreement between the plaintiffs and John Crane.
