Court Affirms Finding of Fault in $7 Million Verdict, Vacates Entry of Judgment

LOS ANGELES -- A California appellate court has affirmed a jury's award of $7 million in a case against the Ford Motor Co., determining that there was sufficient evidence to support the jury's finding. Russell, et al., v. Ford Motor Co., et al., No. B213596 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist., Div. 8).
In the July 30 opinion, the 2nd District Court of Appeal did find that the judgment amount entered by the trial court was erroneous, as the defendant was not permitted to review the evidence of settlement credits.
