PHILADELPHIA - A jury in Philadelphia has found that a plumber's mesothelioma was more likely caused by exposure to asbestos on a different job than he alleged, awarding a verdict in favor of all defendants named in the suit. O'Brien, et al. v. A.O. Smith Corp., et al., No. 0004-1631 (Pa. Comm. Pls. Ct., Philadelphia Cty.).
Edward O'Brien and his wife, Violet, alleged in their complaint that Edward O'Brien had contracted mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos during his work as a plumber over the past 50 to 60 years.
