Ky. Jury Finds for Union Carbide Corp. in Take-Home Exposure Case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Kentucky jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of lone remaining defendant Union Carbide Corp., rejecting the plaintiffs' claims of household exposure by a 9-3 vote. McCauley, et al. v. Union Carbide Corp., No. 09-CI-01313 (Ky. Cir. Ct., Jefferson Cty., Div. 8).
Judge A.C. McKay Chauvin of the Kentucky Circuit Court for Jefferson County presided over the seven-day trial, which ended on June 14 after approximately 9 hours of deliberations, sources told HarrisMartin.
