PHILADELPHIA -- A Pennsylvania trial court has affirmed its earlier ruling that awarded summary judgment to two asbestos defendants, ruling that Yarway Corp. and Crane Co. could not be held liable for asbestos not supplied by the defendants themselves. Stralo, et al. v. Yarway Corp., et al., No. 0187 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).
In the June 11 opinion, the Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County court backed its 2008 decision to award summary judgment to the two defendants, opining that there was a lack of evidence indicating that the decedent worked with the defendants' products.
