Judge Finds In Favor of Honeywell Following Asbestos Trial

SAN FRANCISCO - A judge in California has sided with defendant Honeywell International following claims that its asbestos-containing product caused a plaintiff to develop a fatal form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Dressler v. Asbestos Defendants, No. 308950 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Alfred Chiantelli handed down the decision following a bench trial March 21 finding that while it was possible that the asbestos to which the late husband of Judith Dressler was exposed caused his fatal disease, such a link has not been sufficiently established by the epidemiological literature, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing.
