Jury Finds for Fisher Controls in Disputed Asbestosis Case

SAN FRANCISCO -- A jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of Fisher Controls International in a case with a disputed asbestosis diagnosis, sources told HarrisMartin. DeVore v. Fisher Controls International LLC, No. CGC-08-274667 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).

On May 7, the California Superior Court for San Francisco County jury found for the lone defendant who also contended during trial that the plaintiff had failed to prove that there was asbestos in the defendant's valves.

Judge John K. Stewart presided over the trial.
