Maryland Jury Awards $20 Million in Case Against Georgia-Pacific

BALTIMORE -- A woman who claimed that her household exposure to asbestos caused her to develop mesothelioma has been awarded $20,272,575 by a Maryland jury, sources confirmed to HarrisMartin. Farrar v. ACandS Inc., No. 24x08000394 (Maryland Cir. Ct., Baltimore City.).
On Oct. 30, the Maryland Circuit Court for Baltimore City jury found against lone remaining defendant Georgia-Pacific after an 8-day trial and one-and-a-half days of deliberations.
