Court Entertains Comments, Suggestions on New Asbestos General Order

SAN FRANCISCO -- A number of California law firms involved with asbestos cases pending in the San Francisco County Superior Court have complied with a court request to write letters with suggestions on how to reduce unresolved cases pending on the asbestos trial calendar.
In three separate letters obtained by HarrisMartin, various firms that represent a number of defendants involve in the litigation generally support the proposed new Asbestos General Order that would assign all pretrial matters to a department dedicated to handling asbestos lawsuits.
