Asbestos Defendant Subpoenas Records of Plaintiff's Liver Donor

PITTSBURGH -- An asbestos defendant has subpoenaed the medical records of a liver donor, whose liver was transplanted into the plaintiff, according to recent court documents filed in Pennsylvania. Sweeney, et al. v. Beazer East Inc., et al., No. 09-004759 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Allegheny Cty.).

In a subpoena filed Sept. 15 with the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, the defendant asks the hospital to produce the medical and work history documentation of the donor.
