SAN FRANCISCO -- While a San Francisco jury has found lone remaining defendant Advocate Mines Ltd. liable for asbestos-related injuries to a former plant worker, it determined that the defendant should only be liable for a total of five percent of the $3.4 million verdict. Worthley, et al. v. Advocate Mines Ltd., No. 432308 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
The California Superior Court for San Francisco County jury's July 22 award included $2.5 million in non-economic damages.
