$4.5 Million Verdict Entered in Missouri Asbestos Case

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Missouri jury has awarded a total of $4.5 million at the conclusion of a mesothelioma trial, accepting the plaintiffs' claims that exposure to asbestos in ceiling tiles caused the decedent's illness and subsequent death. Wagner, et al. v. Bondex International, et al., No. 08CY-CV00772 (Mo. Cir. Ct., Clay Cty.).
The Circuit City for Clay County jury reached the decision on June 3 after three-and-a-half hours of deliberations and 12 days of trial. The trial was presided over by Judge Elizabeth Davis.
