Jury Finds Garlock 25 Percent Liable in $2 Million Verdict

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Kentucky jury has found for the family of a former pipefitter, assessing 25 percent liability to Garlock Sealing Technologies in the $2 million verdict. Moeller v. Garlock Sealing Technologies, No. 07-CV-00065-H (W.D. Ky.).
In the Feb. 10 verdict, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky awarded $208,000 for medical and funeral expenses; $431,375 for lost wages, pension and social security; $1.25 million for pain and suffering until death; and $175,000 for the loss of consortium claim filed by the decedent's widow.
