Jury Awards $500,000 at Conclusion of Meso Trial

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Illinois jurors recently awarded $500,000 against Bondex in a mesothelioma lawsuit. King, et al. v. Bondex, et al., No. n/a (Ill. Cir. Ct., Madison Cty.).
The May 19 verdict in the Illinois Circuit Court for Madison County was only entered against Bondex, although plaintiffs Williard and Elizabeth King brought their claims to trial against Georgia-Pacific as well, according to published reports.
Williard King claimed that while working on a home remodeling project, he was exposed to asbestos and subsequently developed mesothelioma.
Jurors awarded Williard King $202,000 for medical expenses and $59,600 each for loss of normal life, …
