Calif. Jury Awards $4.3 Million to Families of 3 Industrial Pipefitters

SAN FRANCISCO -- A California jury has awarded a total of $4.3 million to the surviving families of three former pipefitters, all of whom claim that exposure to asbestos-containing products caused the development of lung cancer. Harris, et al. v. Plant Insulation Co., No. 449117; Hearn, et al., v. Plant Insulation Co., No. 432129; Wetch v. Plant Insulation Co., No. 414319 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
