Brown & Root Grossly Negligent in Asbestos Lung Cancer Case

HOUSTON - A Texas jury has awarded $5.5 million to the family of a former Kellogg Brown & Root employee who died from lung cancer after years of alleged exposure to asbestos. Kilough v. Kellogg Brown & Root, Inc., et al., No. 98-27940 (Texas Dist. Ct., Harris Cty.).
The Harris County District Court jury assessed damages, all of them punitive, against the Halliburton subsidiary, finding the construction and engineering firm grossly negligent in causing the lung cancer death of Herrel Wayne Kilough.
