Sara Couch represents institutional investors, government entities and consumers in securities and consumer fraud litigation. Sara also assists in the litigation of individual tobacco cases. Sara Couch contributes to litigation across several of the firm’s practice areas, including defective medical devices, toxic exposure, consumer protection, tobacco, and the opioid crisis.

Erin's primary focus is on injury claims against manufacturers of dangerous products that have harmed women. Erin currently serves as the court-appointed Co-Lead of the Paragard (birth control) MDL pending in the Northern District of Georgia. She was also recently appointed to the leadership committee of the Hair Relaxer MDL pending in the Northern District of Illinois. Previously, from 2017 to 2022, Erin served on the Executive Committee for the Essure consolidated state litigation in California, where she and her team oversaw the claims of thousands of women who suffered severe and permanent injuries as a result of the Essure permanent sterilization birth control device. In August 2020, she helped to negotiate a $1.6 billion settlement with Bayer to resolve the Essure litigation. Erin also served on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee for the various female pelvic mesh MDLs pending in the Southern District of West Virginia as well as the Pradaxa litigation pending in the Southern District. In the Pradaxa litigation, Erin served as State-Federal Liaison Counsel to the cases pending in St. Clair County, Illinois.

Jonathan Orent litigates for people alleging harm by defective medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs, including all aspects of discovery and expert development. He represents women suffering from painful side effects associated with pelvic mesh/sling products, hernia patients harmed by mesh repairs, as well as military service members suffering from hearing loss due to allegedly defective earplugs.

Paul Pennock is widely considered one of the best and most aggressive plaintiff litigators in the country. His work has led to more than a billion dollars in recoveries for his clients. For two decades, Pennock served as chair of one of Weitz & Luxenberg’s national litigation practice groups. He was directly responsible for leading a large national litigation department covering all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial. He has served as lead plaintiffs’ counsel, plaintiff steering committee member, and liaison counsel in numerous state and federal multidistrict litigation (MDL) mass tort cases.
