Co-Chair John A. Yanchunis

John Yanchunis was born in Ohio and was raised on military bases around the world by parents who had both served in the military. Upon graduation from law school, John served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carl O. Bue, Jr., a United States District Judge in Houston, Texas. Upon the completion of a two year clerkship, Mr. Yanchunis began his career as a trial lawyer. John has handled a diverse size of complex consumer and commercial disputes, and for the last 13 years he had focused his practice on consumer class action litigation and false claims. He has served as co-lead counsel in the successful prosecution of the two largest class action cases in the United States, Fresco vs. Automotive Directions, Inc., Case No. 03-61063-JEM et al; and Fresco vs. R.L. Polk Case 0:07-cv-60695-JEM (Southern District of Florida), and served as lead, co-lead or class counsel in numerous other consumer class actions.

Daniel S. Robinson is a partner in the Newport Beach office of Robinson Calcagnie‚ Inc.‚ specializing in civil litigation. Mr. Robinson is admitted to practice law in New York‚ Pennsylvania and California. Mr. Robinson has conducted several trials to date‚ including a 17-day trial in 2010 where a Los Angeles jury returned a verdict of $14‚548‚350.76 in favor of the plaintiff.

Dan has been honored by the Daily Journal as one of the Top 25 Plaintiffs Lawyers in California. He has been selected for The Best Lawyers in America©, a nationwide peer-reviewed survey, every year since 2013. Dan has been selected as one of the top 50 lawyers in Orange County twice by Super Lawyers and has been selected as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2014. In 2015, he was named as one of the Daily Journal’s Top 20 Attorneys Under 40 in California in 2015, and in 2014 received the American Association of Justice “Wiedemann & Wysocki” Award for demonstrating a “commitment to the profession and support for improving the civil justice system.” In July 2017, Dan received the AAJ “Above and Beyond” Award. In 2012‚ The National Trial Lawyers named Dan as one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 in the United States. Dan was awarded the 2011 Young Gun Award by the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association for “exceptional trial skills‚ ideals of legal ethics, and dedication to the principal of preserving access to a justice system for every person.”

Hassan Murphy has served as the managing partner of Murphy, Falcon & Murphy since 1999, and develops the strategic vision that powers the firm’s growth. As a skilled Baltimore personal injury attorney and aggressive negotiator, he is directly involved in the most complex cases the firm handles.

Mr. Murphy’s leadership as counsel and co-lead counsel has led to settlements and verdicts in excess of $300 million, including the negotiation of a $54 million settlement in an environmental torts case—without ever filing suit.
