Co-Chair Walter Kelley

Walter Kelley is a founding partner of Kelley Bernheim Dolinsky, LLC. Walter lives in Plymouth, Massachusetts with his wife Alicia and is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. Attorney Kelley is the managing partner of the firm’s Boston, Massachusetts office.

Walter has devoted his entire legal career to helping injury victims with products liability claims. Walter has recovered numerous multi-million dollar awards on behalf of individual clients harmed by dangerous products.

Prior to law school, Attorney Kelley graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Throughout his time at UMass, his goal was to go on to medical school and become an Orthopedic Surgeon. However, shortly after graduation he had an epiphony and decided to go to law school instead. One day after speaking with a close friend who had just won his first civil trial on behalf of a client who was injured by a dangerous consumer product, he realized he could make a much larger impact and do more good by using his background in biomechanics and orthopedic medicine to help innocent patients who had been injured by defective orthopedic medical devices.

Mr. Kelley has an exceptional amount of experience successfully protecting the rights of his clients in complex civil litigation matters, including multi-district litigation, involving unsafe pharmaceutical products and defective medical devices. Attorney Kelley is very well respected among the national plaintiff's bar and he is highly regarded as one of the best young product liability attorneys in the Country by his peers. He was recently named to the Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association due to the success he has had representing the rights of injury victims and their families in courts across the United States.

In addition to pharmaceutical and medical device matters, Walter continues to represent victims of catastrophic injuries arising from construction site accidents, defective machinery and other defective consumer products.

Co-Chair Kimberly A. Dougherty

Kimberly Dougherty knew from an early age that she wanted to help people. She volunteered for Big Brother Big Sister in college and quickly became passionate about issues facing women and children. Kim then earned a master’s degree in social work and worked in child protective services, but recognized that many people needed more. They needed a legal advocate. That’s when she decided to become an attorney.
Her law practice quickly turned to the people who needed the help most: ones severely injured by corporations who put profits before people. Today, she is a leading attorney in complex pharmaceutical, medical device mass tort, personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.

Kim is a partner and the Managing Attorney of Andrus Wagstaff’s Boston office. She is also a volunteer advocate as Immediate President of the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Association, and has regularly testified at the State House on laws to protect the rights of women and children, and lobbying legislators on those laws, as well as the importance of increasing gender diversity in the judiciary and elected office.
