OAKLAND, Calif. -- The judge overseeing a benzene trial currently underway in California has granted a plaintiff's motion in limine that sought the preclusion of testimony relating to the plaintiff's former involvement in asbestos litigation. Hooper v. Bridgestone/Firestone, et al., No. RG04171297 (Calif. Super. Ct., Alameda Cty.).

In an Aug. 12 order, Judge Robert Freedman of the California Superior Court for Alameda County said in the two-page order that the in limine motion was granted based on Fox v. Ethicon Endo-Surgery (2005) 35 Cal.4th 797.
