Defendant Claims Products Have Benzene Levels Lower Than in Ambient Air

LOS ANGELES -- A defendant named in a benzene lawsuit has moved for summary judgment, arguing that the products the company manufactures contain benzene levels lower than found in ambient air. Camizzi, et al., v. Akzo Nobel, et al., No. BC289503 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
In a motion filed July 7, defendant PRC-DE Soto International argues that the plaintiffs are unable to meet the burden of causation by failing to offer evidence that the products manufactured by the defendant contained dangerous levels of benzene.
