Texas Woman Sues Princess Cruise for Wrongful Death After Husband Dies from COVID-19

LOS ANGELES — A Texas woman has sued Princess Cruise Lines in California federal court, accusing it of failing to protect its passengers from the spread of COVID-19 aboard its vessel, causing her husband to contract the virus onboard and die alone in a hospital.

In an April 15 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Susan Dorety said she also contracted COVID-19 while aboard the Grand Princess, which departed from San Francisco on Feb. 21 and was anchored off the coast of California from March 4 to 9.
