BALTIMORE –– More than 5,000 asbestos cases have been disposed of since 2016, with the majority of those dispositions occurring within the last two years, according to a new report released from the state’s Administrative Office of the Courts.

In an Oct. 15 letter, State Court Administrator Pamela Harris sent the Report on the Baltimore City Asbestos Docket to Hon. Nancy J. King, Chair of Senate Budget & Taxation Committee and Hon. Maggie McIntosh, Chair of House Appropriations Committee.

The Maryland House Judiciary Committee has scheduled a briefing on the Baltimore asbestos docket for Nov. 7, according to a notice …
