FDA Tells Consumers to Avoid Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-Containing Vaping Products




WASHINGTON, D.C. — Citing recent reports of respiratory illnesses, including some resulting in deaths, the Food and Drug Administration has warned consumers to avoid buying vaping products on the street, and to refrain from using THC oil or adding any substances to products purchased in stores.

“At least one of the associated deaths that has been publicly appears to have been related to illicit THC vaping products,” the FDA says in the Sept. 6 update. “In many cases of illness reported by the states, patients have acknowledged recent use of THC-containing vaping products.”
