SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two of the three plaintiffs in a dispute involving Applied Underwriters Inc.’s workers’ compensation program and related reinsurance participation agreement have told a California federal judge that they agreed in principle to settle the matter.

In an Aug. 7 notice filed before Judge William Shubb of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California plaintiffs Shasta Linen Supply Inc. and Alpha Polishing Inc. said a settlement agreement will be filed within 10 days.

Pet Food Express Ltd. is the sole remaining plaintiff in the action.
