2nd Amended Complaint Dismissed in Calif. Federal Amiodarone Action

SAN FRANCISCO — A California federal judge has dismissed a complaint accusing the makers of Cordarone (amiodarone) of marketing the anti-arrhythmic drug for off-label use, ruling that the plaintiff failed to cure the pleading defects previously identified by the court.

In a June 25 order, Judge James Donato of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California gave the plaintiff a third and final opportunity to amend his claims to cure the deficiencies.
