NEW YORK — A New York federal judge has dismissed a dispute in which National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh sought reimbursement from two reinsurers for its settlement of asbestos claims filed against PPG Industries Inc.

Judge Edargo Ramos of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York entered the order following the parties’ June 3 stipulation that the action be dismissed with prejudice.

In a May 29 complaint, Continental and NICO sought a declaration that National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh may not arbitrate certain claims that it has asserted in a consolidated arbitration …
