TAMPA, Fla. –– Plaintiffs with asbestos cosmetic talcum powder claims pending in Florida state court against Johnson & Johnson have noticed the voluntary dismissal without prejudice as to Imerys Talc America Inc., according to recently filed documents.

In a May 31 notice filed in the Florida 13th Judicial Circuit Court for Hillsborough County, the plaintiffs filed the motion pursuant to Rule 1.420 of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.

The plaintiffs in the underlying complaint said that Betty L. Reinheimer used Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Powder between 1953 and 2017. As a result of the exposure, the plaintiffs said, …
