Pizza Oven Company Named as Defendant in Asbestos Case Denied Summary Judgment by N.Y. Court

NEW YORK –– A pizza oven company named as a defendant in an asbestos exposure action has been denied summary judgment after a New York court found that the plaintiff had sufficiently identified the defendant’s pizza ovens and provided descriptions of the equipment.
In the March 18 order, the New York Supreme Court for New York County opined that the plaintiff had “raised triable issues of fact” as to whether the company could be held liable for his injuries.
