Jury Holds Honeywell Liable in $18.5 Million Verdict, But Defendant Reaches Settlement Agreement; Defense Verdict for Ford Motor

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. –– An Arkansas federal jury delivered an $18.5 million verdict against Honeywell International at the conclusion of an asbestos trial, but found for Ford Motor Co. on the former brake shop worker’s claims, sources told HarrisMartin.

While the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas jury determined on Jan. 29 that Honeywell should be held liable for the claims, that defendant had reached a settlement agreement with the plaintiffs just prior to the verdict, sources added.

The trial lasted three weeks, according to court records.
