Rejuvenate Hip Lawsuit to Proceed in Ill. Federal Court

BENTON, Ill. — An Illinois federal judge has allowed a plaintiff to proceed with her lawsuit alleging injuries caused by Stryker Corp.’s Rejuvenate hip replacement device, noting the allegations sufficiently state a product liability claim under state law.

On Aug. 29, Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois allowed the pro se plaintiff to proceed in forma pauperis and ordered service of process at the government's expense.

On September 5, 2017, Doris Hughes filed a complaint naming Jose Raymon, Ryan Hunley, Jeffrey Whiting, Touchette Regional Hospital and Barnes-Jewish Hospital as defendants. Judge …
