Former Cal-Regent Owner Opposes Odyssey Re’s Motion for Summary Judgment

SAN DIEGO — A former owner of broker Cal-Regent Services Corp. has opposed Odyssey Reinsurance Co.’s motion for summary judgment in a $3.2 million case, arguing there are questions of fact concerning sums allegedly owed the reinsurer.

In a Sept. 14 response filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, Diane Nagby contends there are questions concerning her control over Cal-Regent, and whether she aided her former husband in forming a new business for the purpose of avoiding creditors.
