J&J Attacks Asbestos Talc Claims in S.C. Suit, Says Evidence Shows Talc Not Present in Relevant Mines

SPARTANBURG, S.C. –– Johnson & Johnson has moved for summary judgment in an asbestos case, arguing that the plaintiffs have failed to establish that the company’s talcum powder contained asbestos fibers and instead have failed to respond to the defendant’s documentation showing that decades of testing has shown there is, in fact, no asbestos in talcum powder products.
