Calif. Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for Hennessy at Conclusion of Mesothelioma Trial

OAKLAND, Calif. –– A California jury has reached a defense verdict in favor of Hennessy Industries LLC, as successor to AMMCO Tools Inc., rejecting claims that the plaintiff developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos fibers when using an AMMCO brake arc grinder.

The California Superior Court for Alameda County jury reached the verdict on Aug. 8. Trial –– presided over by Judge Brad Seligman –– began on July 2 and closing arguments were delivered on Aug. 7.
