JPML Creates Coordinated Docket for Federal C.R. Bard, Davol Hernia Mesh Lawsuits

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A federal panel has established a coordinated docket for 53 lawsuits involving polypropylene hernia mesh products manufactured by C.R. Bard Inc. and subsidiary Davol Inc., finding the cases involve common questions of fact.

In an Aug. 2 order, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation established the docket in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and tapped Judge Edmund A. Sargus to oversee the coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings.
