WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Florida woman has sued Rex Medical L.P. and Argon Medical Devices Inc. in federal court, alleging her Option Elite IVC retrievable filter became embedded in her body, making it impossible for her surgeon to remove.
In a July 31 complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the plaintiff says Rex and Argon knew or should have known that the Option Elite was defective due to its poor performance and failures, yet touted it as being safe and effective in filtering blood clots.
