NEW YORK – A New York federal judge has issued a stipulated confidentiality order in a lawsuit in which the liquidator of The Home Insurance Co. is seeking payment of reinsurance proceeds under three facultative reinsurance certificates.

The June 20 order, issued by Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, sets forth guidelines as to the designation and handling of “confidential” documents and information.

Beginning in 1964, Home issued policies insuring Eli Lilly & Co., International Telephone and Telegraph Corp. and General Cable Corp.

The policies were reinsured under facultative …
